Overview

OutWant (“we,” “us”) operates outwant.com, an adult-oriented AI companion service built for queer desire and company. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

Who this service is for

The service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older only. We welcome users of all orientations, gender identities, and expressions. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at support@outwant.com and we will take action to remove the account and any associated data.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, optional profile fields (pronouns, orientation, interests), and password hash when you register. Guest sessions may use a temporary identifier stored in a cookie.
• Chat & relationship data: messages you send and receive, thread history within each companion, per-companion state (mood, pacing, preferences you share), and usage counters (daily message limits, subscription tier).
• Login sessions: we use secure, HTTP-only cookies to keep you signed in. They expire according to our session policy and are cleared when you sign out.
• Billing: subscription status and a payment processor customer ID. Card numbers, CVV, and full payment credentials are handled by our payment provider — we never store full card details on our servers.
• Custom photo uploads: if you use features that accept an uploaded photo (for example, generating a custom scene), we store the image only for the duration necessary to fulfil that request unless you explicitly save it to your account. You must only upload images you have the right to use, and you must have consent from any identifiable person depicted. See Terms of Service for the full policy.
• Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, device type, referring URL, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your data

• Provide chat, gallery, voice, and subscription features you request.
• Maintain conversation state within each companion thread so the persona's replies stay coherent within that thread.
• Process OutWant Pro subscriptions and send billing-related emails and receipts.
• Enforce daily limits, abuse prevention, and our acceptable-use rules (see Terms).
• Improve reliability, fix service issues, and comply with legal obligations.

AI-generated content

Companions, portraits, and most images on OutWant are AI-generated fictional personas. They do not depict real individuals. Chat responses are generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, offensive, or unpredictable — use your judgment and do not rely on chat content for real-world decisions.

Sensitive data

The service is queer-first and by its nature you may share information about your orientation, gender identity, and sexual interests. We treat this as sensitive personal data:

• We do not sell or rent this data. We do not share it for advertising targeting outside the service.
• Access is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service or respond to abuse.
• You can request account deletion at any time by emailing support@outwant.com (see “Your choices” below).

Third-party services

• Payment processing — subscription billing, receipts, and refund handling. See our payment provider's privacy policy. Charges appear on your card statement under a discreet descriptor (see Terms).
• AI providers — chat and image generation use hosted AI models. Message content is sent to these providers only as needed to generate a response and is subject to their retention and security terms.
• Email delivery — account verification, password reset, and billing receipts are sent via an email delivery provider.
• Basic analytics — anonymized traffic, error, and performance data to keep the service reliable.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for essential functions: keeping you signed in, remembering your age-verification acknowledgement, and preserving your preferences (e.g., theme, pronouns for generic UI copy). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention & deletion

We retain account and chat data while your account is active. You may request account deletion by emailing support@outwant.com. We will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period after your request, except where retention is required for billing records, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Guest-session data (chats started without an account) is retained for a limited window and then purged automatically.

Your choices

• Update your display name, pronouns, or profile fields from your account page.
• Request account or data deletion by contacting support@outwant.com.
• Cancel OutWant Pro anytime from Manage subscription on the upgrade page, from your Stripe billing portal link, or by emailing us. Access continues through the end of the paid period.
• Clear browser cookies to end your session; the age-verification acknowledgement is stored locally and will be re-requested on your next visit.

International users

OutWant may process your data in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the service you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in those countries. Where required by local law (including the EEA and UK), we rely on standard contractual protections with our processors.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (encrypted storage where supported by our providers). No online service is perfectly secure, but we make reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
